Ohio Hunting Seasons, 2023-2024

Ohio’s hunting seasons feature a variety of game, including deer, turkey, and pheasant. Youth hunt days, archery, muzzleloader and regular firearms seasons are available, as well as some continuously open seasons.

Ohio offers a lottery for controlled hunts. Most selected individuals are able to receive two hunting licenses for personal or shared use.

Hunters can check-in bagged game online, as well as register for license lotteries, apply for new licenses and purchase memberships and other items. New hunters can find hunter education and course registration information online.
