Nebraska Hunting Seasons, 2017-2018


Choose from a variety of large game during Nebraska’s hunting seasons. Bighorn sheep, antelope, elk and deer offer a great selection of game to bag.

Hunting and fishing permits can be purchased online. Applications for permit lotteries can also be accessed through the Nebraska Game and Parks commission website.

*Big Horn Sheep hunting permits are available by lottery only. Only one permit is awarded. Only Nebraska residents are able to apply, and a $25 nonrefundable application fee is required.


Mountain Lion Seasons

2016 No Authorized Season

*Mountain lion hunts greatly vary by region, as do harvest quotas. For some regions, it is required to confirm that the season is open each day prior to hunting, as closure could happen at any time.
