Oklahoma Hunting Seasons, 2023-2024

Bag game large and small during Oklahoma hunting season. From antelope and deer to bear and small game, hunters will find variety in the state’s woods.

Hunting licenses are available for resident and nonresidents. Licenses can be purchased from a license agent or through the natural resources website. Oklahoma has had great success with their conservation program. Since 1900, the White-Tailed Deer population has grown from 500,000 to over 32 Million. In the same time period, the wild turkey population has grown from 100,000 to 7 Million.

An online check-in system allows Oklahoma hunters to report their game bags easily. Check-ins for deer, elk and turkey are all accepted through the Department of Wildlife Conservation’s website.

Oklahoma provides several options for hunting space. The Department of Wildlife Conservation manages and operates more than 1.6 million acres of public use land. These Wildlife Management Areas (WMA) include private properties that landowners have agreed to allow public hunting on.
